2005 - 2006 Trips

Below are the trips that we have made this academic year. Please feel free to browse through these trips and those from past years as some of the stops may be of particular interest to your future career.

New York City March 1-5, 2006

Gates Capital Management: Jeff Gates, K-State alumnus and sponsor of our annual New York trip, provides a presentation on hedge funds and investment management.

New York Stock Exchange: Students were able to visit the trading floor to view the auction process and then went to the gallery for the closing bell.

NASDAQ: We visited the Times Square MarketSite for the market opening followed by a presentation on the NASDAQ.

Deutsche Bank: Darin Batchman, a K-State alumnus, hosted students for a discussion on fixed income securities.

Harlem Development District: Joseph Searles, a K-State alumnus, invited students to visit the 125th Street Business Improvement District for a presentation on real estate initiatives in Harlem.

Abel/Noser: Students were able to meet with Jamie Noser to discuss agency broker services and Abel/Noser's association with the NYSE.

UBS: Bret Oettmeier, a K-State alumnus, met with students for a presentation on investment banking.

W.J. Bonfanti, Inc.: Students received a presentation on floor brokerage and "upstairs trading".
