    • In addition to a very informative presentation given by Cessna, we discussed the upcoming Telefund and services provided by the Career & Employment Services.

  • Telefund 2008
    • For the 4th consecutive year, SFA was the top CBA volunteer student group participating in Telefund.

    • The spring semester trip to New York City is continuously a highlight for SFA and we extend our appreciation to the K-State Alumni and others who make this trip possible.

  • Thursday, Mar. 27: Waddell & Reed Luncheon
    • The nationally recognized financial advisory firm hosted a free luncheon for students and faculty, presenting opportunities within their corporate office in addition to their financial services division.

April

  • Tuesday, Apr. 8: Capital Federal
    • Mr. Kent Townsend, CFO of Capital Federal spent time with students discussing a variety of topics, including the current sub-prime problem, loan categories, security underwriting, and his role at Capital Federal.
  • Tuesday, Apr. 29: Dr. John Graham
    • Dr. John Graham - Professor of Finance at K-State, CEO of Graham Capital Management, and Director of two publicly traded companies presented as well as Dean Ebadi.
    • SFA scholarships and Investing Competition Awards were handed out.
    • Elections for next year's officers concluded the meeting.

    • SFA took a 15 passenger van up to Omaha, NE again this year. The trip was very successful.
